Main Advantages & Functions

The HUSH-PRO has been developed to offer top-tier protection and convenience, giving homeowners confidence that their property is always secure. With robust features that exceed typical alarm systems, it delivers unmatched peace of mind. Benefits include:

  • Full-Range Alarm and Detection: Includes intuitive tools for detecting fire, sounding alerts, silencing, and running tests, making the system easy to manage.
  • Minimised False Alerts: Designed to reduce nuisance alarms in shared settings when integrated with communal or landlord systems.
  • System Compatibility: Seamlessly connects with a variety of components like cooker shut-off switches, voice alerts, telecare devices, smoke vent systems, and visual indicators.
  • Centralised Alarm Management: Multiple HUSH-PRO units can be networked into a C-TEC 'CAST' system, providing reliable, building-wide control and evacuation alerts — particularly helpful for buildings following "Stay-Put" or similar safety policies.
  • Instant Reporting: Alerts, errors, and essential data can be sent directly to tablets, smartphones, or computers, supporting quick reactions and compliance with safety responsibilities.

Intelligent Fault Detection

HUSH-PRO actively scans for wiring faults like open circuits or shorts, while also monitoring device integrity and contamination. In standard mode, any issue is flagged on the local controller, shared system, and the C-TEC Cloud. Residents can temporarily silence the fault, but if unresolved, the alert will recur after 24 hours, ensuring problems aren’t overlooked.

Smart False Alarm Response

For suspected false alarms (Fire Level 1), the system triggers local alerts with a specific message and tone. Users can mute these alerts for up to two minutes. If repeated false alarms occur, the system logs the event and sends a notification to the C-TEC Cloud. Once the issue is resolved, normal operation resumes automatically.

Improved Life Safety Measures

In the event of a more serious alarm (Fire Level 2), indicating a potential real fire, a distinct tone and evacuation message are broadcast. This alert cannot be muted by occupants and is relayed through the building’s central system to initiate any preset safety procedures. For example, if one floor is affected, alarms in adjacent dwellings may activate to facilitate a safe evacuation. Real-time updates are sent to the C-TEC Cloud until emergency crews respond.

Controlled Evacuation for Stay-Put Scenarios

If fire authorities determine that a "Stay Put" strategy is no longer viable, they can activate evacuation keyswitches on the central system. This initiates a Fire Level 2 alarm throughout affected areas, prompting evacuation. All actions are logged across both the communal system and the C-TEC Cloud for accountability.
