Essex Electrical & Fire proudly supplies Wireless Zone Monitors—an ideal way to expand your fire detection coverage across homes and commercial properties. Whether you're upgrading an existing system or need detection in challenging areas, our wireless options offer a sleek and effective alternative to wired solutions.
With EMS wireless technology, seamless integration is made possible through the Universal Wireless Zone Monitor (WZM), which connects directly into most fire alarm systems.
By incorporating EMS FireCell’s comprehensive range of wireless devices, property owners can extend detection zones without the need for disruptive cabling. Wireless solutions are especially beneficial in buildings where aesthetics, access limitations, or structural concerns prevent conventional wiring.
EMS is a UK-based leader in wireless fire detection, renowned for more than 45 years of innovation. Headquartered in Essex and manufacturing at their award-winning Herne Bay facility, EMS works closely with partners to deliver reliable and adaptable fire safety systems. While safety remains the top priority, the ability to minimise disruption during installation is also a major advantage of wireless technology.
The Universal Wireless Zone Monitor supports up to 30 mixed wireless devices—regardless of their power consumption. High-demand devices like sounders and visual alarms (VADs) can be included without consuming additional loop power or addresses, giving installers more flexibility in system design.
Each wireless component includes its own dual-battery power source, compliant with BS5839 and EN54-25, ensuring a minimum operational lifespan of three years. The WZM itself requires a 24V power feed, which can be provided by the main control panel or a dedicated power supply unit.
